Operation Combat Connect

Reunite Those Who Fight

OCC is a 501(C)(19) non-profit organization located just north of Phoenix, Arizona, and dedicated to reuniting post-9/11 wartime veterans who served together. Our farm is different from other veteran nonprofits because we focus primarily on reuniting combat veterans who have served together in the same platoons and squads. The farm is approximately 30 acres and provides veterans with complete serenity and the opportunity to enjoy nature at its finest next to the people who know them best. The farm lodges 10 to 12 veterans at a time, not including two staff members, for a three- to five-day relaxing, therapeutic adventure with over thirty acres to discover and explore. At the farm, veterans can participate in many forms of therapy, including but not limited to equine therapy, canoe and kayaking, gardening, hiking, fishing, and nighttime campfires that inspire veterans to open up to each other and to receive and give helpful advice. The warriors get to live together under the same roof for a few days—as they did during war—and reconnect, vent, and be there to help one another and the community.
